THE EVENT

Three weeks in Laconi. A small group. A program that will write itself along the way.

tARTufo will be a summer coliving event in Laconi, a village of around 1,800 people in central Sardinia.

Ten people will stay for three weeks together with us. Together we will work, cook, walk, talk, build things with each other and with the people who live here year-round.

The name is a wordplay. There's art and research inside it, and a nod to Laconi, where truffles are part of the story.

It won't be a retreat. Not a workshop. Not a festival.
It will be three weeks of being here, with intention.

THE METHOD

We co-designed tARTufo in Sende, using the same method we will use during the event itself.

Last February we went to visit our friends from Sende, a rural coliving in the north of Spain, for a workshop with other rural hubs and other fantastic creatives people.

Together with them we co-designed what tARTufo would be. Nobody arrived with a finished plan. The shape emerged from what people brought.

The same idea will happen in Laconi. The first days will be spent designing the three weeks together. Everyone will bring something — a skill, a question, a practice, a workshop they could run, a project that needs other eyes. We will map it. We will decide what to do with it.

The program will be different every year. It will depend on who shows up.

THE PLACE

Laconi is where this will happen. And part of why it will work.

Around 1,800 people. An hour inland from the coast. A park with a waterfall, a castle in ruins, a few bars, a bakery, a butcher, the post office. Summer mornings start slow. The days are hot, the evenings long.

Treballu has been here since 2019. We know the neighbours and the people who run the shops. Over three weeks, you will end up meeting them too — at the festival, at dinners, walking home, at the bar where everyone stops at some point in the day.

By the second week you will no longer be a visitor. You will be someone people recognize and greet on the street. This is the main thing tARTufo will offer.

THE RHYTHM OF THREE WEEKS

Co-design

The first days will be spent mapping what we have. Skills, questions, ideas, things people want to try. The program will take shape from that table.

Work time

Our coworking space will be open through the day. People will work on their own projects, sometimes on each other's. Quiet hours in the morning, looser in the afternoon.

Common table

Lunches and dinners will often be shared. We will cook, split costs, rotate tasks. Meals are where most of the real conversations happen.

Village life

You will live in Laconi — in its streets, its bars, its routines. Not around it. Meeting the people who live here year-round will be part of the program, not a side effect.

Storie dal Vicolo

At the end of July, Laconi will host Storie dal Vicolo, the festival we organize every summer in the alleys of the old town. Participants will be able to contribute — writing, cooking, building, performing, helping out.

Restituzione

Leave something behind. A recipe, a guide, a map, a set of notes, a script, a song, a sketch. Something small and useful the next group or the village can reuse.

WHO THIS IS FOR

People who want to contribute. Not just visit.

Artists, researchers, designers, developers, writers, cooks, people between things, people taking a break from a city, people curious about rural places.

Background will matter less than disposition. Willing to share what you know. Willing to take care of the place. Willing to meet people on their terms.

Three weeks is a specific length of time. Long enough to get bored, get past the boredom, and start noticing things you would miss in a week. The group will be ten — the size where everyone still knows everyone by the end.
